Winsock applications tested with z2 Remote Winsock.
z2 Remote Winsock is designed to work with 32bits Win95/Win NT winsock
applications. Applications that used Wsock32.dll to communicate across the network
(Internet) should be able to use z2 Remote Winsock.
Releases of MS Internet Explorer 4 that came with Window98 does not with this shareware.
The list below show the applications the author has tested.
- Netscape Communicator 4.04 (Ver4.4.10.71)
Netscape Communicator 4.01 and 4.02 displayed error messages when
exiting. Please upgrade to Ver4.04.
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 Ver4.72.2106.1
- IE4 Preview Release 2 do not work with z2 Remote Winsock because
it do not load z2 Wsock32.dll place in the same subdirectory.
- Outlook Express Ver4.72.2106.4
- Internet Mail do not work with z2 Remote Winsock because it do not
load z2 Wsock32.dll.
- However, Chrystal Gregg manage to make
it work! Follow the link to see how he did it.

- NetDetect cannot detect Internet connection at the server. It only
monitor Internet connection of the local PC.
